Can I drink tea, coffee or alcohol while on the diet? Yes you can, but restrict intake to two to three cups of tea and one cup of coffee daily. Do not drink more than three to four glasses of alcohol per week while on the diet. If I want to lose weight after the eight-week menu plan can I stay on the diet? You can stay on the diet for as long as you like, and if weight loss is slow or comes to a plateau, eat smaller meals. Can I follow the diet if I am a diabetic? Yes you can, but stay with your doctor’s supervision, and remember to have regular snacks using foods from our menus to prevent hypoglycemia. Does this book only apply to people who want to lose weight? No, the liver-cleansing diet will not result in weight loss, unless you are overweight, as it balances your metabolism. Many sick people are underweight and by improving their liver function will increase their appetite and maintain or gain weight. By improving liver function the load upon the immune system is reduced and many illnesses caused by inflammation or chronic infections will be gradually overcome. |
